What is Monitoring
Monitoring is a real-time display of the patient’s condition and a measure of the human body functions and output.
Monitoring of the urine production and output (i.e. hourly diuresis) and the Intra-abdominal Pressure (IAP) in critically ill patients are important indicators of the patient’s condition. Both of these parameters may change significantly by the hour, requiring medical treatment to secure patient’s survival.
